6 Powerful Ways To Make Change And Live An Awesome Life!

0

You may be an aged individual or a young adult – it doesn’t really matter! What does matter is that you know that you want to change your life for the better. You want to get your life in order again. The problem is that you just can’t seem to know exactly where to start! Why don’t you start by implementing these powerful ways, then?

6 Mighty Tips On How To Innovate and Live A Beautiful Life!1. Start by accepting reality.

You cannot change something unless you’re consciously accepting reality as the truth.

Once you accept the fact that you do need to change and then you can actually start changing.

Just be careful to know the difference between “accepting” and “surrendering”, though.

Realize that you alone are responsible for your life.

Whatever you may think, the truth is that only you are accountable for your own life. Your parents, your grandmother, your boss, your girlfriend, your neighbor’s dog or your country’s president – all of them aren’t really responsible for your personal life so don’t go playing the “blame game” on them when things go wrong.

At the end of the day, you have to take responsibility for your life. Other people can’t help you if you don’t decide to help yourself first.

2. Learn to stop worrying.

In life, there are two kinds of problems: problems that you can solve and problems that are beyond your control. Look into the problem and analyze it carefully.

Can you do something to solve the problem? Go ahead and list the things you can do. Start small if you have to. The important thing is is to identify solutions and then take action.

Or is the problem out of your reach? Stop worrying about it, then! You absolutely can’t do anything about it so why waste precious brain cells thinking about it? Breathe deeply and just let nature takes its directed course.

3. Let go of unnecessary baggage that only weighs you down.

Jealousy, hate, contempt, anxiety – all these will only blur your decision-making abilities and ruin your positive outlook on life.

Collect them all together and flush them all down the drain. Free yourself from negativity. Life is too short to bear grudges and maliciously judge people.

Just choose to let go.

4. If you really want something, take the risk and go for it.

Want to know a secret?

You can do anything that you want to do if you want it bad enough.

You have to have this constant sense of urgency, this regular hunger, this unquenched thirst, this insatiable desire, in order to motivate you to keep going.

If you yearn for it every single day, chances are, you’ll do absolutely everything in your power just to be able to achieve it.

Want to travel the whole world? Want to establish your own non-profit foundation? Want to be an advocate of positive change?

Hey, if you really want it, nothing’s stopping you.

5. Help others achieve happiness by making them feel good about themselves.

Changing your life positively need not be limited to your own life – you can help change someone’s life positively as well. You can do this by passionately helping others find their own self-worth.

Perform a small act of kindness. Sincerely compliment someone. Smile.  Spend more time with your family and live in the moment with them. Talk to your friend about his past achievements and encourage him to accomplish more.

One simple act can make a huge difference.

6. Fail gloriously.

Try something new. Get out of your comfort zone and experience things that you normally wouldn’t encounter. Do something that you’ve never done before and fail at it at the first try.

Speak a foreign language. Make a new friend. Break an old habit. Cook a complicated meal. Learn to play a musical instrument.

Do something new every time and enjoy your initial failures.

What separates a positively successful person from a negative one is the amount of failures. A positively successful person actually fails more because he takes action more. Fail, stumble and fall – but remember to stand up straight once again for every fall.

A positive change in your life starts from your failures and ends in your success.

The Power Of The Plan “A”

When I was taking my psychology classes for my bachelor’s degree I had to learn a lot about psychologists and their theories.

I remember diving into some of these “masters” who paved the way into the study of the mind.I was immediately fascinated by Abraham Maslow and his study of self-fulfillment.According to Maslow’s theory, the highest form of need is the need for self-actualization.  The individual’s smaller needs should be satisfied before larger needs arrive.  I find this theory to work for most individuals because it places the importance of substance in order.

Self-fulfillment is the most rewarding factor in our lives.  It leads us to a more productive life.  We are fulfilled with happiness and a healthier life in our environment. If we were to rule our life based on humanism, we would live in a more optimistic life based on spirituality and integrity. Life should be about self fulfillment, otherwise what is the point of living an incomplete life? Without goals where would we be?

The Power Of The Plan “A”The other day there was a young man being interviewed on the Ellen Show who is tap dancing in the subways of New York trying to gather money to finish his college education.  He spoke about Plan A.  “That’s all there is.”  He refuses to have a Plan B.  Plan A has to be all that he has to fulfill.  If he has a back-up plan then he’s basically letting the universe know that he will fail with Plan A.  Bravo to this young man!  He has a lot of will power and self-actualization.

Will power is one of the most important and interesting parts of Maslow’s theory because it shows that people are fully capable of conquering all of their goals.  As long as they focus on staying on the right track, they can accomplish anything despite the biological, social, environmental and cultural facts.

To put it in layman’s terms everything in the human mind is based on perception, knowledge and recognition. We can have total control over a self-realization and self-direction by focusing on our goals and maintaining ourselves positive, instead of focusing on the negative aspects. A perfect example is the young man with only a “Plan A.”  So from now on I will not allow myself to have a back-up plan.

Plan A is all there is!

Skills and competence can either hinder or advance our development.  Being honest with yourself and truly realizing the kind of things you want in life determine how you will get there.  The need for self-actualization suggests that the focus is in ourselves rather than the external chit-chat of others’ opinions of how they see us.  The road to fulfillment is in each of us.

Psychologists have developed, refined and instituted a bunch of theories based on the “hierarchy of needs” in our personalities.  These theories place our needs to push and motivate us to the fullest.   Sometimes love and physiological needs seem to be the most difficult levels of needs among people to address.  This arrives from safety and security (or the lack of them) in childhood.    Self-fulfillment and self-actualization can rectify and mend some of those past traumas.

Now every time I have a goal, and I start with my visualization, I think of Maslow.  His theory is based on the positivism, self-actualization, overcoming existential crisis, love and dignity, among others, where human beings learn to accept and appreciate themselves and nature, as well as love others. The humanism is based on the will power and fulfillment of our goals in life in order to conquer happiness. Our natural response is motivation. We evolve by building stronger columns in order to support a happy and healthier life, but it must come from within.  Our aspirations and desires are the building blocks in this university we call “Life.”

After raising six children, working in the corporate world, and being part of a relationship for eighteen years, I found that happiness was not consistent in my world.  I left the business world, ended a relationship that was deteriorating and headed to the mountains.  My best friend and I bought a small motel in the middle of gorgeous country and began the greatest journey.  What started as a visit to Asheville in May of 2010 became a permanent home for us.  Now with only one teenager at home, I am able to be part of a wonderful world of meeting people from all walks of life.  We’ve transformed an old gem of a place into a sweet and quaint oasis for others to find peace.  To those looking into our lives it seems we saved Peaceful Quest Retreats, but the reality is that this place saved us.  Every day brings joy, inspiration and a zest for life I never knew existed.  The lessons have not always been easy but the ride has been scenic and delightful.  I can’t imagine ever returning to a life that was not authentic to my spirit.
